Hello there! My name is Peter McMahon, and I am an avid teacher, performer and composer based in Glasgow. I've been playing piano for over 20 years now (and singing for even longer!), and have performed with numerous orchestras, bands and choirs over the years, recently performing at the Royal Albert Hall with Music For Youth.

I have been teaching people of all ages for over 8 years now, and I pride myself of my ability to educate and inspire my students, wherever they are in their musical journey. I teach most days during the week, travelling around Glasgow and Paisley to provide private home-lessons to my students.

Why?

Being able to play an instrument is a wonderful skill for anyone to have, as it offers endless opportunities for expression, communication, and personal growth. Whether you are performing with other talented musicians, challenging yourself to learn new material, or creating your own work to share with the world, music offers insight into every aspect of the lived human experience. Personally, music has been the primary catalyst for most of my most cherished memories, and I love passing my knowledge of the field onto others!

How?

I travel to all my students, so you can receive the lesson in the comfort of your own home! All you'll need is a piano or electric keyboard in the house.

Where and When?

I am based around Glasgow and Paisley. Please get in touch to check with my current availability.

Who?

I have taught people of all ages, from 7 and 8 year olds all the way up to people in their late 60s! All are welcome, wherever you are on your musical journey! 

For younger students, I usually recommend that parents wait until the child is at least 7 years old, although of course there can be exceptions to this.
